Richards Horse Transportation

Richards Horse Transportation is a family owned and operated business. The business is run by Bob and Shirley Richards and their son and daughter-in-law Danny and Andrea (Andy) Richards.

Bob retired from the Los Angeles Police Department in 1994 and spent the next thirteen years in academia and working as a professional farrier. He does most of the transporting of the horses and his experience as a horseman and farrier gives him a high level of expertise in handling horses. Bob’s personal equine interest is in the cutting horse industry. He enjoys riding his mare, Peppy’s Little Remedy, and working a small number of cattle he maintains at a ranch in Moorpark, California. His wife, Shirley is our accountant and maintains control of the pursestrings of the company.

Their son, Danny, is a fulltime firefighter/paramedic for the City of Ontario. He brings more than ten years of commercial trucking experience to the company. Danny helps with the driving and maintains the equipment to achieve a high degree of safety. His wife, Andy runs the office and maintains the website for the company.
